1, 000 ha banana plant-ation result in 150, 000 tons agrowastes. Part of The fibrous matter converts into 18, 500 tons Compo-site products @ $22 million and others generate 5 MWe + 125, 000 T Bio-fertilizer

A full fledged APIX-SEP pro-ject would involve: food processing, agrowastes/ animal wastes conversions, bio-fertilizers, bio-petro-chemicals, CHP energy conversion, and Composite engineered products ...

WHAT IS APIX?

AGRO-POLYMER INDUSTRY COMPLEX (APIX) is an “all encompassing” techno-socio-environmental business model (ZERO-WASTE ZERO-CARBON BUSINESS MODEL – ZW-ZC-BM). All the available, annually renewable resources in an ecological surroundings (plants/ vegetations/ organic/ animal/ human wastes), including human/ manpower/ animal-power resources, are utilized through a SELF REGENERATIVE RECYCLING (SRR) process toward creating value additions. These result in Alternate Engineering Materials, Alternate Petrochemicals, Bio-Fertilizers and CO2 SINK Engineered materials. It is to be noted that APIX – the ZW-ZC-BM – could be set up even in an area bereft of any agricultural activity; and in this case the locally available vegetations and other animal/ human wastes could be the starting materials for the SRR processes. As expressed under the Business Mission/ Goals, it would be our endeavor to set up APIX-Sustainability Engineered Projects (APIX-SEP) in clusters of one thousand ha areas in different villages/ farmlands; each such unit would be named: APIX_1000. And these would be the centers of wealth creation in the range US $20 million and above per APIX-SEP units.

The exemplified illustration above is such a unit in a Banana plantation, where the annually available renewable resources are of the order of 150, 000 tons (green weight) in each APIX_1000

The illustrations here show the variety of vegetation systems which could be converted into Energy and Materials of engineering. It should, however, be also noted that these are just a few of the great variety of  vegetation systems that could be taken advantage of. Those shown here are (from Top left, clockwise): Water Hyacinth, Weeds, Shrub trees/ plants, Palmyra palm, Banana Trees, Agave plants/ Sisal, and Papaya trees/ plants. Not all of these are based on organized agricultural operations, although almost all of these grow in farmland areas/ villages.

For example, here only banana plants/ trees and papaya trees are cultivated in plantations or in organized farmlands; others are either grown wild or they are grown without organized cultivation. Those shown here are a few of the vegetation systems in the southern Indian peninsular regions, and could be seen in almost all other tropical countries having equivalent climatic conditions.
